The Dental Assistant certificate training program is accredited by the American Dental Association of Commission on Dental Accreditation. Graduates of the ADA program may be eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board Inc. (DANB).

You may get the opportunity to perform various tasks in dental assistant training, such as exposing and developing dental radiographs, taking impressions, pouring and trimming models, instrument and procedural set-ups, patient management, and equipment sterilization and disinfection.

The IntelliTec Medical Institute ADA Accredited Dental Assistant training program includes a 300-hour externship, providing you the opportunity to practice your skills in a setting in Colorado dental practices. Students may be eligible to apply for the nationally recognized Certified Dental Assistant Examination offered by the Dental Assisting National Board Inc. (DANB). Successful completion of the DANB Examination awards students the status of Certified Dental Assistant (CDA).
Upon passing the Registered Dental Assisting examination, you can graduate with a professional Dental Assistant certificate and may be eligible to sit for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and become a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). As a graduate, you may also be certified by the State of Colorado in Dental Radiology and obtain a certification in CPR.
